CONSENSUS are Marcus Ellery and Iva Renn, an equal Battersea two-piece who turn arguments about systems and agency into industrial techno. Marcus carries the clipped verbal pulse; Iva supplies the low-register drive. Their records ask what an apparently seamless upgrade costs, and refuse to let either voice become the answer on its own.
The Group's members are Marcus Ellery, Iva Renn. It is active from 2026–present as a resident of Project REPLICA on FARA Records.
Origins
A failed access system at a Battersea warehouse night delayed the room and started an argument between Marcus, who read the terms, and Iva, who heard how the system changed the crowd. They exchanged unfinished files afterward; the first piece that worked kept both positions rather than declaring a winner.
The source anchor for the Group is: They met at a warehouse night while arguing the same question from opposite ends; the act is that argument set to a kick drum.
Formation and member roles
Marcus carries dry, clipped pulse and verses; Iva carries the low, unbelted drive and drops. They are equal members.
Marcus names the mechanism; Iva exposes its bodily cost. In decisions, he reduces the problem to one durable sentence and she stress-tests whether it still works at full low-end pressure.
Musical style and method
CONSENSUS works across industrial techno, techno-rap, EDM, dark synthwave edges.
Sessions begin with one operational question written in plain language. Marcus builds the verbal frame; Iva builds from sub-frequency upward; both remove anything that implies a single heroic narrator.
The recurring themes are systems, infrastructure, automation, agency, consent, upgrade versus replacement.

Two equal stations and a shared central light line. Marcus remains close and exact; Iva is nearly still. Escalation arrives through sound density and the room's response, not crowd-command gestures.
