Raon

Early life

Raon grew up in Seoul on hip-hop and film, the watchful child at the back of the room who filled notebooks with verses and learned to think in scenes. The current canon describes a cool front over a softer centre: focused and observant rather than aloof, with an instinct to notice how one image follows another and how a story changes when the order changes. School cyphers gave that instinct a musical form, while cinema taught him to sequence emotion like a director sequences shots.

Formation and the narrator’s role

When POLARIS formed, Raon’s scene-by-scene writing became the group’s narrative edge. Four distinct registers settled into one structure: Junseo’s warm tenor anchoring the promise, Yejun’s airy falsetto opening the most fragile space, Raon’s melodic rap carrying the interior point of view, and Haeon’s dance-centre energy turning the final chorus into a physical event. Raon remains one member of that shared act rather than a separate solo identity, but his function is precise — the voice that moves the listener through the story without turning narration into aggression.

Musical style

Raon’s delivery is restrained melodic rap that slides between speech and song. He keeps the controlled cadence of rap while allowing pitch to carry a transition or an emotional turn, using exact placement instead of volume. On 별빛 No Man’s Star (노맨스 랜드), he owns the second-verse point of view and the identity-as-number narrative, including the “louder than gunfire” anchor. His interest in war films and old radio recordings also helped shape the static-laced opening, though the imagery remains cinematic metaphor rather than literal biography.

Public image

Raon reads on stage as brooding and controlled: quiet away from the line, sharply focused the moment the verse begins. Radio cyan and cold steel mark him inside the debut’s four-colour system, paired with dark utilitarian layers and black hair carrying a steel-grey tint. Those choices belong to Release 001 rather than permanent identity. The durable image is a recognisable adult South Korean performer with real skin texture, contemporary styling and an intensity that never collapses into a tough-guy stereotype.

Cultural impact and fandom

POLARIS has not needed a formal fandom name for the members’ own details to become shorthand. Raon writes verses scene by scene like storyboards, and his fascination with old radio recordings helped give the debut its signal-and-static texture. Fans read his radio-cyan marker as the cold narrative line inside the group’s shared north-star concept, but the group balance remains central: Junseo, Yejun, Raon and Haeon are four distinct people serving one story.

AURA Live

POLARIS is built around a signal crossing distance to reach the people it belongs to, and Raon is the member who narrates that crossing from inside the static. AURA Live, SPATIALx’s system for bringing Project REPLICA residents into physical venues as full-scale live holograms, gives his restrained delivery a literal room: radio-cyan light defining the edge of the figure while a real audience stands close enough to hear every controlled shift between speech and song.

Raon and POLARIS are composed and voiced by artificial intelligence (Suno) under human creative direction. The lyrics and cinematic concept originate with Jonathan M.A. White; SPATIALx Media directs, prompts, curates, edits and masters every take.
