Full Bio / WikiUriah Teague (b. 17 November 1979) grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, in a city where gospel, hymnody and blues have long shared the same air — church on Sunday, blues nearby, gospel underneath both. He came to the guitar through hymns first, then fingerpicked sacred-blues records, and his current register stays close to that root: a voice, a guitar and a room.
His debut single, "In the Hunger," treats fasting as communion rather than punishment — a clearing of noise and hurry so that prayer becomes audible again. He plays it plain: no arena voice, no showmanship, no tidy answers, just a man praying out loud with a guitar in his hands.
