VETRO (Group)
Active · Resident of Project REPLICA
VETRO are SERA and RESPAWN, an equal Rome-and-London duo joining full classical soprano to drill, drum-and-bass and dubstep without making either register decorative. Glass, rules and fracture become a shared language for asking whether an inherited loop can be rewritten.
The Group's members are SERA / Serafina Ricci, RESPAWN / Kojo Mensah. It is active from 2026–present as a resident of Project REPLICA on FARA Records.
Origins
An unnamed producer sent each artist the other's unfinished material without asking either to soften their register. SERA answered a bass-system loop with a disciplined sustained line; RESPAWN returned a verse about who authored the loop. Their first joint session kept the seam audible and adopted VETRO as the permanent frame.
The source anchor for the Group is: A producer placed SERA's Roman soprano world against RESPAWN's London drill/bass language; the contrast became a persistent act rather than a feature. No date is supplied.

Formation and member roles
SERA carries trained soprano/classical-liturgical register; RESPAWN carries restrained drill/bass cadence and system-breaking perspective. Equal billing.
SERA protects the internal logic of tradition; RESPAWN tests whether that logic still serves the person inside it. Their sixteen-year age gap changes perspective, not status.
Musical style and method
VETRO works across opera crossover, drum and bass, dubstep, UK drill, experimental bass.
Build two complete registers before combining them. The seam remains audible; neither sound is used as exotic decoration. Every piece must contain one point where a rule is named and one where its consequence is tested.
The recurring themes are inherited rules, loops, depression as system metaphor, glass, fracture, agency, rewriting from within.
Public image
A transparent central plane divides and reflects both performers until the final section changes what can pass through it. Equal brightness, no historical opera costume and no tactical drill styling.
Two worlds divided and joined by glass: architectural white/aria gold for SERA, magenta/bass darkness for RESPAWN, equal scale and light.
Contemporary Rome stone and glass against London night buses, server-room magenta and wet pavement; fracture patterns remain material, not melodramatic shattering.

AURA Live
AURA Live brings VETRO into physical venues as full-scale Project REPLICA presences. The Group's live image preserves every member's identity and role while translating its shared performance language into the room.

Realisation
VETRO is an openly AI-realised Group from FARA Records under human writing, direction, curation, editing and final approval. The making of the work remains part of the work.
