KEEP UP (Group)

Active · Resident of Project REPLICA

KEEP UP are Dahlia Monroe Price and Elise Barrera-Wynn, two Los Angeles best friends whose conversation became music. Dahlia sets the groove, Elise lands the turn, and neither keeps the lead for long enough to own it. Their nu-disco pop treats friendship, timing and interruption as instruments.

The Group's members are Dahlia Monroe Price, Elise Barrera-Wynn. It is active from 2026–present as a resident of Project REPLICA on FARA Records.

Origins

Their recurring rink-floor arguments became voice-note exchanges: Dahlia sent groove-first openings and Elise returned faster endings and ad-libs. The duo formed when a shared chant made it impossible to decide whose song it was, which became the no-fixed-lead rule.

The source anchor for the Group is: Best friends before the act; they met on a roller-rink floor while arguing about a song. Neither account agrees on who was right.

Formation and member roles

Dahlia is warmer, lower and groove-anchored; Elise is sharper, higher and faster. They trade, overlap and finish each other's lines with no fixed lead.

Dahlia starts motion; Elise changes direction. They resolve disagreements by recording both versions and keeping the one in which their interruptions sound most like friendship rather than arrangement.

Musical style and method

KEEP UP works across nu-disco, disco-pop, pop-funk, roller-rink dance pop.

Write standing up or skating tempo first. Leave in breaths, laughter and overlap when they carry social rhythm. No section is assigned permanently to either voice.

The recurring themes are friendship, momentum, present-tense pleasure, humour as social intelligence, living continuity versus nostalgia packaging.

Public image

A populated rink-floor exchange with both women moving through the same frame, passing phrases like a baton and refusing a central solo pedestal.

Present-tense Black LA roller-rink culture, bright-major movement, populated rooms, equal light and scale; never a retro costume party.

Sun-warm cream, lacquer red, amber wood, deep cocoa and mirror-ball white; contemporary rink surfaces, parking-lot daylight and backstage shoe-lacing rather than faux-1970s décor.

AURA Live

AURA Live brings KEEP UP into physical venues as full-scale Project REPLICA presences. The Group's live image preserves every member's identity and role while translating its shared performance language into the room.

Realisation

KEEP UP is an openly AI-realised Group from FARA Records under human writing, direction, curation, editing and final approval. The making of the work remains part of the work.
