SHAPE OF LIGHT are Rowan Castellan and Nadia Solberg, a Washington State duo built on control meeting instinct. Rowan designs long-form systems through three analytical registers; Nadia answers with one wordless, improvised voice of equal weight. Their work places enormous structures beside breath, heartbeat and the remaining human light.
The Group's members are Rowan Castellan, Nadia Solberg. It is active from 2026–present as a resident of Project REPLICA on FARA Records.
Origins
Rowan sent Nadia a tightly bounded long-form outline with one deliberately empty passage after language reached its limit. She returned a continuous wordless response that changed the timing of everything before it. The duo formed when Rowan revised the architecture around her answer rather than treating it as ornament.
The source anchor for the Group is: No city, date or first-meeting story is supplied. Creative formation is control meeting instinct: Rowan defines bounds; Nadia discovers emotional shape inside them.
Formation and member roles
Rowan carries three analytical sung/spoken registers and long-form architecture; Nadia carries one equal, wordless improvised register.
