Yejun (예준) is Kang Ye-jun (강예준), born 25 January 2007 in Seoul, and the lead vocalist of the four-member South Korean group POLARIS. The group’s canon defines him as tender, delicate and expressive: emotionally attentive without being fragile as a person, and precise about the quiet details that let a high line carry feeling without becoming display.

He discovered his upper range by singing quietly to himself and developed an airy falsetto that can float above a dense arrangement without forcing it. Inside POLARIS, his function is exact. Junseo’s warm tenor anchors the group, Raon’s melodic rap narrates from inside the story, Haeon’s movement and bright harmonies turn the chorus into a physical event, and Yejun opens the most exposed space — the delicate high lines and piano bridge where the record has nowhere to hide.

On the debut single 별빛 No Man’s Star (노맨스 랜드), a 120 BPM track in A♭ major, Yejun carries the exposed bridge colour and the highest, most fragile note in the final chorus. The debut’s ash-silver hair and cold starlight silver-white marker belong to its shared signal-and-fog visual system; the persistent identity is broader: an adult South Korean performer with a luminous but natural presence, a recognisable temperament, and equal weight inside one four-member act.

On stage and on camera, Yejun reads as emotionally open and controlled rather than theatrical. His performance gains power from breath, placement and the contrast between a soft entry and the scale around it. Within the group’s own lore, he is known for tearing up at the exposed piano bridge in rehearsal — a small detail that fits the music without reducing him to it.
