Full Bio / Wiki
ADUNNI (Adúnni Bákàrè, b. 8 July 2004) is from Lagos, and church before anything else — which is where a very large number of the best voices in Nigeria are actually made. She learned to sing in harmony long before she learned to sing alone, and she has never lost the instinct: her first thought in any room isn't what to sing, it's what's missing. Born in 2004, she is part of a generation that has simply never experienced Nigerian music as anything other than the centre of the world, and she has no chip on her shoulder about it.

Warm, round and luminous — a voice with light in it rather than force. She doesn't belt and she doesn't run notes; she glows, and on record that's a job description rather than a metaphor. She is a harmony singer by conviction rather than circumstance: she can carry a lead and often does, but what she actually loves is the moment a song stops being one person's. She stacks under and around a lead, adds air and low warmth and the third that makes a chord open, and she leads the crowd responses — by an outro she is effectively conducting the room.

Warm, still, and completely without anxiety about where she's standing. She doesn't compete for the front and doesn't need it: when her voice enters, the temperature of the room changes and everyone knows who did it. On her debut she is the light the song is named for — and she is also the artist singing it, with a voice, a credit and a career. Never a muse. Luminous, grounded, unhurried.

What they are

ADUNNI is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
