Beau Fontaine
New Orleans, Louisiana · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiBeau Fontaine is a New Orleans jazz and ragtime artist born 13 April 1990, whose defining skill is making a room feel larger than it was a minute earlier. Built on stride piano, brass-band street music, and second-line movement, his sound treats old rhythmic grammar as something that still moves bodies now, not as a museum piece. Generous by design, he points toward the horn that just did something good and pulls dancers into the frame.
His voice is bright and open with a flirtatious grin inside the phrasing — not a polished lounge crooner standing still behind a vintage microphone. He sings while moving, lets the band answer him, and treats the crowd as another rhythmic section rather than an audience waiting for permission.
Down in New Orleans makes the principle literal, but future Beau records can move into piano rooms, rehearsal halls, courtyards, kitchens and indoor clubs while keeping the important constants: rhythmic generosity, live-band credibility, humour, motion and warmth.
What they are
Beau Fontaine is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
