Full Bio / Wiki
Borrowed Thunder is the stage name of Micah Hensley (b. 1996, Seattle), who grew up in a household where religious and political conviction were passed down like furniture — fixed, assumed, rarely examined. He absorbed Seattle's own grunge lineage the same inherited way, Soundgarden and Alice in Chains and Nirvana arriving less as discoveries than as birthright.

In his late twenties he went through the slow process of actually examining what he believed, rather than simply carrying it forward. His stage name is his own lyric: heir to a storm he's still learning to call his own.

On stage he's quiet and intimate until the record demands otherwise. Searching, heavy, deliberate.

What they are

Borrowed Thunder is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
