Full Bio / WikiChrome (Greta Solberg, b. 9 May 2007, Seattle) grew up under grey skies, constant rain and long indoor winters — a bedroom, a laptop, headphones, and a whole world built on screens: Discord servers at 3am, online friends who felt realer than the rain outside. The contrast between quiet, rain-locked Seattle and the maximal, hyper-saturated, infinitely loud worlds inside the screen is the engine of her music. She turns it all the way up on purpose.
She found her sound building tracks on a laptop in her bedroom — discovering that hyperpop's maximalism could hold everything she felt at once, that "too much" could be exactly right, and that turning the volume all the way up was a way to feel real and to belong. SOPHIE and PC Music showed her that technology could be liberation, not just overload; her influences run through A. G. Cook's hyper-gloss, bubblegum bass and digicore to 100 gecs' blown-out two-voice chaos.
On stage she's overwhelming on purpose — a hyper-saturated, maximal, sensory-overload show, everything at full blast — but open and sincere about what's underneath: defiant, communal, made for everyone who built their world online at 3am. She picked "Chrome" for the surface: the hard, gleaming, perfect, processed exterior — because her music is about the soft, real person underneath it. She insists "3am laptop energy" is a real and specific genre. Maximal, defiant, sincere.
What they are
Chrome is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
