Elio
Miami · b. 2005 · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiElio was born December 30, 2005, in Miami — heat, neon, ocean and screens, a city that runs warm and human on the surface and glows a little artificial after dark. He grew up as much online as outside, equally fluent in the warmth of a real room and the pull of a perfect, glowing feed.
His sound draws on Olivia Dean's warm modern pop and the confessional falsetto of Frank Ocean, James Blake and Sampha, with a touch of Bon Iver's ambient falsetto folded in. Three words get him close enough: tender, modern, unsettled.
He's drawn to questions he doesn't resolve for the listener — the gap between something real and something perfectly designed is the whole subject of this record, and he's openly aware that he's a synthetic voice singing about exactly that gap. He'd rather leave a song's last question open than hand over a tidy answer. Tender, unresolved, self-aware.
What they are
Elio is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
