Fault Line
Chicago · b. 1997 · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiFault Line is the stage name of Elliot Voss, born 13 January 1997 in Chicago. He was an intensely analytical kid, the kind who handled a frightening world by measuring it, naming it, breaking it down into parts he could hold — an instinct that became a defense mechanism long before it became a sound.
The name is his own lyric: the exact point where all that careful precision finally gives way, the line that holds until it doesn't. It's a fitting emblem for music built on odd-meter rigor that keeps threatening to come undone, and eventually does.
On stage, Fault Line is controlled and technically commanding, every riff placed exactly where it should be, until the bridge arrives and something genuinely opens. Precise, guarded, cracking — that's the whole arc, compressed into three words and one performance.
What they are
Fault Line is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
