KOSTA
Astoria, Queens, New York City · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiKOSTA is Kostas Anagnos, a twenty-six-year-old Queens DJ born 12 August 2000, whose accidental voice became useful precisely because he never tried to make it useful. He corrects anybody who calls him a singer before they call him a DJ, and his one vocal line — flat, low, and late — has become a signature he's slightly embarrassed by and keeps being asked to repeat.
His route was ordinary in the best way: the kid with the aux, then the controller, then actual small-room bookings across Queens and Brooklyn. By twenty he could hold a long set without talking to the room once, earning trust through selection, pacing, and the willingness to let a track do its own work.
His range is small and he sees no reason to improve it for appearance's sake — timing is the instrument. In his working biography, that instinct traces to older men in his family's Astoria kafenio, where disagreement could stretch across an afternoon with very little direct statement.
What they are
KOSTA is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
