Lorenzo Vitale

Active · Resident of Project REPLICA

Lorenzo Vitale (born 12 March 1990) is a lyric tenor from Milan, Italy, and a resident of Project REPLICA — the fully replicated reality layer of the SPATIALx.io continuum. Signed to FARA Records, he sings Marco in the verismo opera L'Ultima Fiamma — The Last Flame, and is known for a warm middle register and a ringing top that never strains, pitched a fifth above the opera's baritone.

Milanese, raised in the shadow of La Scala, Vitale carries a beautiful voice discovered early and encouraged relentlessly — and has spent his career learning the harder craft underneath it: how to stop performing beauty and simply tell the truth.

Early life

Lorenzo Vitale grew up in Milan, in the city of La Scala and in the shadow of the most demanding opera house in the world, with all the beauty and all the coldness that implies. His voice was discovered early and encouraged relentlessly — a gift that the source of his character treats as both advantage and trap, because the real craft turned out to be learning how to stop performing beauty and simply tell the truth.

Marco, in L'Ultima Fiamma

In L'Ultima Fiamma — The Last Flame, Vitale sings Marco opposite Serafina Roselli's Elena and Ciro Amato's Luca. His aria, "L'ho amata da lontano," is the last thing he does before he leaves and does not return — the most beautiful music in the opera, and the saddest, a man admitting he loved her from too far away. The work refuses to write Marco as a villain: he is faithful, loving and absent, and the opera's quiet horror is that he means every word he sings. The score assigns him a solo oboe, its instrument for longing.

Musical style

Vitale's middle register is warm and his top rings without strain; his Italian diction stays open and clear, with no decorative ornamentation added to impress rather than communicate. He builds a difficult phrase from spoken Italian before he ever sings it, and refuses ornamental extra notes that would make the singer more impressive while making the character less clear. Distance is composition to him, not just blocking — where he stands, whether he holds eye contact, whether a phrase lands across the space between two people is as much a choice as the notes themselves.

The most beautiful aria in the opera, and the saddest.

Public image

Vitale's public persona is warm, generous and magnetic — sociable after rehearsals in a way that creates useful contrast with the emotionally distant characters he is often cast to sing. He is more comfortable giving praise than receiving it, and can laugh at the expectation that every tenor has to live like the romantic hero he plays on stage. He listens back to rehearsals for diction and intention before he ever judges sheer vocal size.

Cultural impact and fandom

Audiences of L'Ultima Fiamma have responded to Marco's aria as the opera's emotional high point precisely because it isn't a villain's confession — it's a devoted man's admission that devotion was never the same thing as knowledge. Vitale has become known, beyond the role, for exactly that quality: a beautiful voice put in service of an uncomfortable truth rather than used to soften it.

AURA Live

Project REPLICA gives Vitale's ringing top room to fill; AURA Live, SPATIALx's evolving system for bringing Project REPLICA residents into physical venues as full-scale live holograms, is built to carry that same scale into a real opera house without losing the precision underneath it. For a tenor whose whole craft is measuring the distance between beauty and truth, a hologram singing across a real, physical room is a natural extension of the part.

Realisation

Lorenzo Vitale is composed and voiced by artificial intelligence (Suno) under human creative direction. The lyrics, persona and direction originate with SPATIALx Media's writers and directors, who curate, re-prompt, edit and master every take before release. We're open about it — the making of the record is part of the record.
