Full Bio / Wiki
Nora Fraser was born on 21 October 2002 in Kelowna, British Columbia, in the Okanagan Valley — orchard and vineyard country under dry hills, where the summers run long and warm and autumn brings its own wildfire-season light. She grew up a watchful, interior kind of child, the kind who noticed the things nobody else clocked: a cup left by the sink, the exact way light sat on a wall in the afternoon.

That attention to small, exact detail is the foundation of her songwriting. She draws on Julie Byrne, Gillian Welch and Aoife O'Donovan for close-mic intimacy, the tender side of Brandi Carlile and Phoebe Bridgers for emotional openness without excess, and the warm Canadian songwriting lineage of Joni Mitchell and Sarah Harmer for a plainspoken, homegrown honesty.

On record she favours restraint over spectacle — one guitar, a harmony saved for the single line that needs it, drums that only arrive once they're earned. Three words: watchful, tender, restrained.

What they are

Nora Fraser is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
