Seattle, Washington · bedroom producer · b. 2005 · FARA Records

Full Bio / Wiki
NOVA LANE grew up in a genuinely wet city and never thought of the rain as atmosphere — it was just what the outside was doing most days, a constant rather than a mood. She started producing alone in her bedroom, working from UK garage and two-step records she found well outside what most of her American peers were listening to, drawn to the specific shuffle in the drums long before she had a topline to put over it. Dark pop over that groove wasn’t a calculated fusion; it’s just what came out once she had both influences at once.

She writes toward physical, almost scientific language without ever treating it as clever — gravity and orbit and velocity are simply the most accurate words she has for a feeling that doesn’t reduce cleanly to anything smaller. Her delivery stays close and a little breathless, cinematic rather than belted, built to sit inside the two-step groove rather than ride on top of it.

She produces everything herself, and the neon-in-the-rain world of her work comes directly from her own city rather than from any genre’s aesthetic playbook. Wet-eyed, exact, unshowy.

What they are

NOVA LANE is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
