Professor Paradox
Hammersmith, London · b. 1990 · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiProfessor Paradox (Jasper Thorne, b. 12 October 1990) grew up in Hammersmith, surrounded by London's music-hall, pantomime and cabaret tradition — the specific British theatrical lineage that treats direct audience address, call-and-response and gleeful camp excess as completely serious craft. He built Professor Paradox as a full showman character: a gloriously theatrical mad-scientist narrator who announces his own experiments to the room as they unfold.
The character's whole vocabulary comes from crossing that audience-address tradition with glam rock's theatrical excess, which gives him exactly the register he needs — a narrator who causes chaos and announces it in the same breath. Charismatic theatrical lead with exaggerated pronunciation, dramatic vibrato and playful seduction, answered throughout by a full ensemble chorus, over piano stabs, glam-rock guitar, punchy live drums and handclaps.
Full showman energy, always: direct address, total commitment to the bit, delighted rather than alarmed by whatever he's just done. He'd argue that comedy and full theatrical commitment aren't opposites, and that a loving genre pastiche deserves the same craft as a sincere piece. Theatrical, charming, unhinged.
What they are
Professor Paradox is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
