Quan Verrett
Detroit, USA · b. 2000 · FARA Records
Full Bio / WikiQuan Verrett (b. 23 April 2000) is credited alongside Zeke Verrett on Soon As I Stopped. Detroit-born and Detroit-shaped — a city with Motown in its foundations, techno in its bloodstream and one of the most distinctive rap traditions in the country — he grew up with all of it at once and never understood why anyone would separate them.
He found his voice writing over Zeke Verrett's Delta guitar, and that accident is the act: the newest form on the oldest one, with the machine arriving only when the story needs it to. His delivery is introspective and conversational rather than aggressive — a conscious-rap tone sitting slightly behind the beat, an internal monologue told as a timeline rather than a performance.
Introspective, restrained and searching. No swagger, no volume, no posturing; he stands still, tells you what happened, and trusts the room to lean in.
What they are
Quan Verrett is an AI-realised act from FARA Records — Fully Artificial, Radically Authentic, the AI-native label of SPATIALx. The lyrics, emotional brief, arrangement and production behind every act on the label come from human writers and directors. Suno renders the vocal and musical takes from there, and the results are handed back to be curated, re-prompted, edited and mastered until they say exactly what they were built to say. We don't hide any of it — the seams are part of the art. This isn't AI filler standing in for a band. It's real songwriting, real direction, and a voice that didn't exist before.
