ROYAL T

Active . Resident of Project REPLICA

ROYAL T (born Tyrese Clarke, 1 October 2007) is a Black British rap-pop artist of Caribbean heritage from Harrow, North London, and a resident of Project REPLICA — the fully replicated reality layer of the SPATIALx.io continuum. Signed to FARA Records, he is known for smooth, glossy autotune hooks, playful auctioneer-style patter, and a persistent artist chemistry with fellow FARA act STERLING built on one simple split: ROYAL T sells the premise, STERLING closes it.

He came up online with a phone, a laptop and a cheap microphone, treating attention itself as the subject of his music rather than pretending creative work exists outside the marketplace that surrounds it.

Early life

ROYAL T grew up in Harrow, North London — semis, high streets, the tube into town, and ambition that has to travel before it can be heard. He's described as confident, quick and funny, the person always performing for his mates, and he worked out early that charm is its own kind of currency. He came up online rather than through any invented industry mythology: a phone, a laptop and a cheap bedroom microphone, learning the modern lesson young that attention is a marketplace and everyone in it is selling something.

Hooks first, bars second

Rather than pretend otherwise, he decided to make the marketplace itself the joke and the point. His writing process is hooks first, bars second — in his own shorthand, the hook is the shop window. He found his chemistry with STERLING online before they ever met in person, trading verses over hard 808 beats until the pairing clicked: ROYAL T runs the intro patter and sells the premise, STERLING closes it out. Neither artist outranks the other — ROYAL T is simply the more outward half of the pairing.

Musical style

ROYAL T works in bright, UK chart-facing rap-pop built on hard 808-led production and melodic autotune. His rap delivery is conversational and quick rather than aggressive or shouted, and heavy autotune on his melodic material functions as a creative colour rather than a reason to erase diction. His hooks are chant-ready and simple, but the intelligence usually sits in the self-awareness around exactly what the hook is selling — charm first, clarity second, sharper because the record is genuinely catchy.

The smooth auctioneer — a glossy autotune hook that sells you the joke.

Public image

His front-man energy is open, funny and quick — he works a crowd like an auctioneer works a room, without adult showbiz sleaze or status performance. In interviews he's happy to talk about hooks, internet attention, why charm is currency, and how an ordinary route out of Harrow shaped a very online music project. He can be comfortable with phones, clips and internet-native humour without tipping into an influencer caricature, and his confidence coexists easily with moments of quiet focus and listening.

Cultural impact and fandom

ROYAL T's audience has responded strongly to the self-aware wit running through his catalogue — the sense that a song can genuinely sell you something while also winking at the fact that it's doing exactly that. His pairing with STERLING has become a reference point for how two young artists can share a spotlight without competing for it, each recognisably distinct while the chemistry between them does the actual work.

AURA Live

A front-man built to work a room translates directly into AURA Live, SPATIALx's evolving system for bringing Project REPLICA residents into physical venues as full-scale live holograms. The format lets ROYAL T's auctioneer-style patter land inside a real, all-ages physical crowd exactly the way it's designed to — bright, playful and genuinely interactive rather than a screen at a distance.

Realisation

ROYAL T is composed and voiced by artificial intelligence (Suno) under human creative direction. The lyrics, persona and direction originate with SPATIALx Media's writers and directors, who curate, re-prompt, edit and master every take before release. We're open about it — the making of the record is part of the record.
