Siwoo

Active · Resident of Project REPLICA

Siwoo (born Lee Si-woo (이시우), 3 March 2005) is a South Korean singer, the lead vocalist and visual of the four-member K-pop group LUMEN, and a resident of Project REPLICA — the fully replicated reality layer of the SPATIALx.io continuum. Signed to FARA Records, he is known for a breathy falsetto that floats above LUMEN's chorus as the record's literal starlight.

Defined in the group's canon as gentle, dreamy and elegant, he carries soft lilac and silver as his marker inside LUMEN's current four-colour member system. On the debut 별빛이 내게 왔어 (You Came to Me as Light) his performance anchor is the floating "shine through all the distance" material and the exposed high register around the bridge.

Early life

Siwoo grew up in Seoul noticing atmosphere before almost anything else — the exact colour of a sky, the hush of a gallery, the particular quiet of an empty room. The group's canon describes a delicate, artistic child, sensitive and dreamy, drawn to sounds light enough to float rather than to anything that had to announce itself. He discovered his airy high register singing quietly to himself, without an audience and without the intention of performing, and became fascinated by the fact that a falsetto could sit above a track without ever turning forceful.

Formation and the falsetto line

That private discovery became his function when LUMEN formed: the shimmering top of the stacked vocals, the register nobody else in the group occupies. Four separate instincts became one structure — an intimate verse, a falling pre-chorus, a wide chorus, a melodic-rap second act, a stripped piano bridge and a maximum-energy final return — and Siwoo was placed above it rather than inside it, floating clear of the mix where Dohyun's tenor anchors and Jaehyuk's rap drives. As the group's visual he also carries a share of LUMEN's on-camera identity, though the canon is careful that a member focus is a framing choice rather than a claim that one person is the group; all four members remain equally weighted by default.

Musical style

Siwoo's line is breathy falsetto and delicate high material — airy ad-libs, exposed high notes around the stripped piano bridge, and a top layer that reads in the mix as light rather than as a second lead. The restraint is the technique: the voice is designed never to push, so that the space it occupies above the chorus stays weightless. Like the rest of the group he checks Korean phrasing and emotional delivery before anything else when a bilingual line has to carry both meaning and rhythm, and the group chorus is built to keep his register audibly distinct from the other three rather than folded into a single stacked mass.

The breathy falsetto that floats above the chorus like a star.

Public image

Siwoo reads on stage as ethereal and graceful — a still, luminous presence whose softness comes across as warm rather than aloof, and which the group's direction is explicit about not flattening into a single note. For the debut campaign he carries light ash-silver, lilac-toned fluffy hair and ethereal silver and soft-lilac layers in satin and sheer textures over age-appropriate base pieces, with a restrained lilac-silver accent, though the canon treats all of that as Release 001 continuity rather than permanent identity. The person is meant to remain recognisable in natural hair, daylight and ordinary rehearsal clothes.

Cultural impact and fandom

LUMEN has not needed an official fandom name, and Siwoo's own recurring details supply the shorthand instead. He collects film Polaroids of skies, insisting that "no two are ever the same" — a habit that reads as the neatest available summary of both his temperament and the group's concept — and he is a standing joke inside the group for being able to fall asleep almost anywhere, instantly. Within the debut's shared imagery he is the highest of the rising three-note pointeu that gains a fourth note at the close, mirrored visually by three rising stars gaining a fourth point.

AURA Live

LUMEN's premise is a signal crossing distance to find the person it was meant for, and Siwoo is the part of that signal that reads as light itself. AURA Live, SPATIALx's system for bringing Project REPLICA residents into physical venues as full-scale live holograms, puts that idea into a real room — a full-scale luminous presence carrying its own lilac-silver accent inside a four-member formation, with the exposed high material of the bridge arriving in physical air rather than through a speaker and a screen. For a member whose whole function is to float above the structure, being rendered as light in an actual venue is close to a literal reading of the role.

Realisation

Siwoo is composed and voiced by artificial intelligence (Suno) under human creative direction. The lyrics, persona and direction originate with Jonathan M.A. White and SPATIALx Media's writers and directors, who curate, re-prompt, edit and master every take before release. No member of LUMEN physically recorded the released vocal master. We're open about it — the making of the record is part of the record.
