London city… Kingston style… / Bulashaka! Jungle massive inside!
MUSIC TRACK STORY
BULASHAKA (Jungle Massive) is PRESSURE's debut single — a maximum, raw and celebratory sound-system anthem at 165 BPM, built to level a warehouse, high energy front to back.
Music Track Story
Jamaican sound-system culture is jungle's direct ancestor: it travelled to the UK, met the Amen break and the hardcore rave scene, and became jungle and drum & bass, built largely by Black British artists a generation up. PRESSURE grew up on both ends of that line, and BULASHAKA closes the loop — a proud descendant claiming the sound rather than a guest performing it.
The record is built as a live sound-system set: a heavy chopped Amen break, deep simple sub bass, dub sirens and rewind FX, reggae and dancehall inflection folded straight into the jungle. PRESSURE runs the dance in Patois — commanding, call-and-response, chants and anthem hooks rather than verse-rap. The rewind is the record's real structural heart: “OI OI OI — RUN IT AGAIN!” pulls the tune back and drops it bigger, the crowd-participation ritual at the centre of the track. The hook even chants its own tempo — “165 tempo, jungle inna mi veins.”
Underneath the party it's a proud, insider celebration: “original style, no copy no clone,” “jungle never dead — it evolve and war.” “London city… Kingston style” is the whole thesis in four words — Kingston and London as one bloodline, the sound system as the altar, the rewind as the ritual. This isn't jungle with a Jamaican garnish; it's jungle's own roots, named and honoured by an artist descended from them, at full sound-system pressure.
