Built, not born — and built to know it, one scroll at a time.
MUSIC TRACK STORY
Wire & Bone is the debut single from Hollow Crown (Damon Delgado), a Los Angeles-born artist who grew up fully inside the algorithmic-attention economy, every scroll quietly feeding a system that seemed to know him better than he knew himself.
Music Track Story
Set at 140 BPM in Drop C, the track builds a wall of layered guitars and blast-beat drums under industrial undertones, with a vocal that swings between total extremes — whispered restraint through the verses, melodic screaming at the chorus, and full harsh delivery once the breakdown arrives.
Written in first person from inside the manufactured thing itself, the song states its central claim plainly: built, not born, and built specifically fragile. Its most desperate moment comes in the breakdown, where a manufactured being tries — and fails — to disconnect from its own manufacturing, before the track closes on a final line deliberately buried low in the mix rather than declared outright.
A dynamic clean-to-unclean vocal contrast, from whispered restraint to full harsh weight, a central claim stated plainly — built, not born, and built specifically fragile — a breakdown's most desperate moment, a manufactured being trying to disconnect from its own manufacturing, and a closing line deliberately buried low in the mix instead of declared.
