He came up on hip-hop, dance crews and Y2K culture — the cool kid who filled notebooks with rhymes and tracked every sneaker drop — and the group's canon balances that public confidence against a softer centre he tends to hide behind humour and swagger.
School cyphers and underground rap came first. Idol training taught him to fold that flow into melody, building a line that can pass between rap and song without stepping outside LUMEN's polished pop frame. Inside the group he holds a precise register rather than a generic idol role: melodic rap that moves between spoken rhythm and sung phrasing without losing polish, and the Y2K-cool energy of the second verse.
On the debut single 별빛이 내게 왔어 (You Came to Me as Light) — 120 BPM, A♭ major, a Korean-led bilingual lyric with English peak lines — his anchor is that Y2K-cool second verse and the "별을 세다 지쳐서" melodic-rap line. His job is to keep the record moving without breaking its gloss: the section that changes the temperature between the first chorus and the bridge.
