By his teens, he was already drawn to the overlap between ancient scriptural imagery and contemporary disclosure folklore — not because he needed to prove a theory, but because of the dramatic overlap itself: wheels in the sky, recurring "fear not" language, redactions, the suspicion that mediation changes what people think they're seeing.

Silver Wings uses that material the way rock has long used myth, faith, power and secrecy — as a charged imaginative field rather than a factual claim. The name comes directly from a lyric image, "silver wings in the infrared": something radiant only becoming visible through an unexpected instrument.
